I'm a huge Kasey Kahne fan, as everyone that reads this blog knows. I've never hidden that fact, and nor will I ever.
However, some people seem to question my motives as to why I like Kasey Kahne, the 30 year old from Enumclaw, Washington. They will say that it's because he's "cute". Well, I would agree with that, but he's not a little puppy, or a little kid. So, cute doesn't do him justice. Words like handsome and gorgeous, fit more. But they aren't the only reasons that I like him.
Kasey is one of the most respectful drivers out there; he doesn't wreck his own team-mates like AJ Allmendinger; he doesn't throw temper tantrums like Tony Stewart, and Kevin Harvick, and occasionally Kyle Busch (as much as I like him, he still throws temper tantrums). Kasey doesn't deliberately wreck people for payback, like Carl Edwards and Brad Keselowski. He may not have championships like Jimmie Johnson, and Jeff Gordon. He may not be the most popular driver like Dale Earnhardt Jr. He doesn't insult drivers wives like Joey Logano. He may not win alot of races like Denny Hamlin, but all that doesn't matter to me. He could go winless for the rest of his career, and I would still be a fan.
Why? Because of the way that he carries his-self not only on the track, but off the track. He's active in sprint car races for the world of outlaws, it dedication to the sport that brought him that fame that he now has. That fame that hasn't gone to his, he still remains loyal, to who he is and where he's from. How many other drivers can and do remember that. If you would see him, at the track, he'd more then happy to stop and sign some autographs, not all drivers are like that.
How many drivers, can say that they've moved the driver of their sprint car into their house, and paid for all the medical expenses? Kasey Kahne can, last year driver Cody Darrah, was on his way to Daytona International Speedway to watch Kasey practice for the Daytona 500, when he was involved in a car accident, that resulted in injuries for young Darrah, who was then sidelined for the rest of the year. To make sure Cody, recieved proper medical care, Kasey moved him into his home, and paid all medical expenses, stemming from the accident.
So if you ask me, why I get so pissed off whenever, people say that we only like Kasey for his looks, and his blue eyes, I'll tell you. Kasey is an amazing talent, not only in the Sprint Cup Series, but in the Camping World Truck Series, and Nationwide Series, also. He's well respected in the garage area, and the pits at the local dirt tracks around Pennsylvania. The work that he does for the Kasey Kahne Foundation, is selfless, he wants to give children who have less, more. But that's okay, over look all that, then you go ahead, but don't you dare, question my motives for liking Kasey Kahne, because I will question yours as to why you don't.
