Childress Slapped on Wrist.

After the truck race in Kansas, there was an altercation in the garage area. However this time it wasn't between two drivers but rather a driver and an owner, or two owners, because it was infact, after the truck race, where Richard Childress reportedily put Kyle Busch in a headlock and punched him 3 times in the face.

Why? Because on the cool down lap at Kansas, after the truck race, Busch reportedly taped Joey Coulter. Coulter, who was in a battle with Busch for positions 5 and 6, prevailed and got a top 5. Both drivers report that it was a congratulatory bump. Coulter even went on to say that, he enjoyed racing Kyle, and Kyle didn't intentionally get into him, that infact Coulter got into him.

So then why the temper tantrum from Childress? Probably because he realized that Kyle Busch is a better driver than he has signed to drive for him right now.  Kyle who always a contender for the win, in all 3 series, has a history of on track incidents with Kevin Harvick.

The following Monday, Nascar handed down a penalty of 150,000 dollar, and placed Childress on probabtion for the remainder of the year. However, alot of people are displeased with all the more Childress got out of a physical altercation. Think back to when Jimmy Spencer got suspended for 4 races for an incident involving Kurt Busch, for punching him.

What is $150,000 to a team owner? It's nothing. Infact, Austin Dillion, grandson of Richard Childress, even joked about the fine that his "Grandpop" got. By only giving him a fine of 150,000 dollars, NASCAR just okay violence. Anyway you look at it, Kyle Busch was assulted.

Bad call on NASCAR's part. He should have been suspended. It was a waste of time, for NASCAR to even penalize him. It was just a slap on the wrist. Which leads me to the next thing. Does NASCAR play favorites? I say yes. Kevin Harvick should have never won the 600.

Nascar, you're starting to lose alot of fans, because of your partiallity. It's getting a tad bit ridiculous, and something needs done about it.

Newman Secretly fined?

A lot of people, are questioning whether or not Ryan Newman was fined for allegedly punching driver Juan Pablo Montoya, while in the NASCAR hauler.

Why were drivers Ryan Newman and Juan Pablo Montoya even in the NASCAR trailer? Well if you recall a few races ago, when Ryan Newman and Juan Pablo Montoya, kept getting into each other, repeatedly; and under the "Boy's have at it" policy that NASCAR adopted last year, when ever there's an on track accident, both drivers are pulled into the NASCAR hauler and given a "talkin" to, and most time they are fined and put on probation. That seems to be the case here, although no drivers were given a fine, or put on probation.

NASCAR says that what happens in the hauler, stays in the hauler, which in all honesty is understandable, but fans also want to know, what goes on with the drivers. We're dedicated, that's for sure.

The real question here is, should NASCAR have announced that Ryan Newman was fined? Alot of people say yes, and then some say no. When asked about it, Ryan Newman declined to comment on it. Think back to last season when Newman was also fined for talking negatively about NASCAR. So would another fine to Newman be a surprise?

Simply put, no it wouldn't be.

Red Bull says Good Bye to NASCAR.

Monday June 20,2011 employees from Red Bull Racing Team, were informed that they would not be returning to NASCAR, following the 2011 season. However, there are reports that a company executive from Red Bull, went to Michigan International Speedway to inform NASCAR executives, that they would be withdrawing from NASCAR.

There is one problem with this, NASCAR knew before Red Bull Racing Team employee's knew, is that fair? No, in my opinion it's not. They deserved to know before anyone else, after all that is infact, their livelyhood. Brian D'Heel (member of the 4 pit crew), announced a few weeks ago on Twitter that he and his wife were expecting their 2nd child. Engineer Keith Rodden and wife Jill are expecting their first in September, Kenny Francis has 2 children, Brit Fryer has a child, and the 83 Spotter Chris Lambert has 2 children, and that's not including the people back at the shop that have a family to support. Children that need them, to be able to provide, for them. It would only be fair, if Red Bull, would have told them so they could have prepared theirselves and their family. In my opinion its very unlikely that the decision was just made, it was probably made a while ago, but they just now decided that it would okay for them to inform the media, and the employee's themselves.

My heart goes out to all the Redbull employee's that will be looking for jobs,  but I also have faith that, those employees won't have a problem finding new jobs.

What does this mean for Brian Vickers and Cole Whitt? We already know where Kasey's going next year, and for that I'm thankful. I feel almost certain that Kenny Francis and Keith Rodden, and hopefully Todd DeVinch will also follow Kasey to Hendrick Motorports, but that still leaves Brian Vicker's career hanging in the balance.

With re-signing at Red Bull out of the question now, this just puts more pressure on Brian Vickers to go out there and perform and show teams how good of a driver that he really is. But with the other free agents that are out there it's not going to be the easiest task to find a new ride, I'm not saying that he can't, becuase I believe that he can, it's just going to be very difficult.   Whitt, is young enough, that he's still got time to find a ride, and I beleive that he will, he's already got a truck ride with Turn One.

What does this mean for NASCAR? Well, simply put, it sucks, because you're going to see more start and parks next year, because unless Jay Frye, can find some investors and sponsorship, that means that it will be alot easier to start and park.

Where does Red Bull go from here? Simple. To Formula 1, with Sebastian Vettel, who is currently first in points, and has proven that he can win, Red Bull has been more focused on F1, that's not surprising. But the cowardly way they did it, was wrong. It doesn't matter how you look at it. The EMPLOYEE'S should have known before NASCAR did. That way when the Media found out they weren't bombarded by question and what if's and why.

My advice to Red Bull : Grow a pair.

Thoughts and Prayers Go Out to Kenny Francis and Family.

Although Kenny will probably never read this, I still feel compelled to write this.

As a crew chief, you never get much recognition, or enough in my opinion. You call all the shots, even while under pressure, with just one goal in mind; to win.  Whether it be winning the pole, a race or even a championship. You're there to win, and you'll try your hardest to win, and being a crew chief for my favorite driver, is always a plus in my book. You're dedication to your driver is amazing.

On race day, you go out there and give it your all, not just you, but the whole team.  I, know one thing is for sure, when it comes to crew chiefs Kasey's got the best, in my opinion.

Although you don't know me from Adam, You and your whole family are in my prayers, in this time of grief. Losing a loved one is never easy, but you have a whole support team behind you.

May God give you the comfort that you need, during this difficult time.

Sincerely,
Brittany.

A Few Quick Notes.

When I started this blog, it was my full intention to blog weekly, or daily about the happenings in the NASCAR world. At first, I was doing very well. However, over the past month and a half, I have failed to do so. However, I'm going to try like crazy and start blogging more. There have been alot of happening going on in the world of NASCAR.

Lately there have been talks about Ryan Newman secretly getting fined for punching Juan Pablo Montoya, to the lame penalty that NASCAR issued to Richard Childress for punching Kyle Busch, after a Camping World Truck Series race, to a penalty issued to Kyle Busch this past weekend after failing post race inspection; to Kevin Harvick's non-surprising remarks made at Pocono, to Kasey Kahne's sponsorship for next year, when he moves to the Number 5 Chevorlet of Hendrick Motorsports, and my picks for the 2011 Chase for the Sprint Cup and more.

I'm hoping to get alot of these things written about today, and within the next few days. So bare with me, while I over-run this page with new posts.
