Down But Certainly Not Out: Denny Hamlin

Driver of the number 11 FedEx Toyota Camry, for Joe Gibbs Racing, Denny Hamlin, and crew chief Mike Ford, had a successful season, in 2010, although failing to win the championship.  Denny finished second to Jimmie Johnson.

After the disappointing end to a great season, Denny Hamlin went under the radar. Fans didn't see a tweet from him for quite a while, after the race. The loss, lit a fire under him, he's on a mission to prove to everyone that he is a champion, and he's going to be the one to dethrone Jimmie.

Even though Denny's season isn't starting out the way that everyone thought that it should, for the guy finishing second in points last year. He's just one of those drivers who seasons don't start out spectatular, but by the end of the season he'll be a contender for the championship again. We are just 4 full races into the season, and Denny is sitting 17th in points. However, Denny has some really strong tracks coming up. His home track of Martinsville.

The season hasn't started out the way the 11 team wanted it to, but everyone knows to expect the unexpected when it comes to racing, so be expecting to see the 11 in Victory Lane quite a few times. Denny might be a lot of things, but a quitter isn't one of them.
