Good Equipment+Kasey Kahne + Red Bull Racing = No Surprise.

I was watching NASCAR Race-Day on Sunday, and Kyle Petty said something that quite frankly pissed me off. If you watched it, you’ll know what he said that pissed me off, but for those who didn’t. He said that “Kasey Kahne, has surprised him, with how well he’s doing, over at Red Bull.” I thought to myself, he’s kidding me right? No he wasn’t, he actually said that.

I’m not sure why he’s “surprised”. Did he expect Kasey to go over there, and suck? Honestly? Then again, if I were him, I wouldn’t want to admit that my father’s company held him back either, he’s an amazing talent, and has the ability to drive the wheels off of a car, not matter how terrible it is, that is when parts on the car aren’t breaking every other race, like they were last year.

At Sunday’s race in Fontana California,  Kasey had a 20th place car, all day, until the last few laps, when he cracked the top ten and stayed there for a 9th place finish. Which gives him only 1 finish of 25th or worse, and 1 finish worse than 10th place. I think all things considering, they are pretty good stats.

But you know what, that’s okay, because I’ve come to realize that some people just get jealous when they realize that they are a has been.

The smartest thing Kasey Kahne ever did was leave RPM, they focused on AJ, how’s that working out for them? Not so well.. Looks like they screwed theirselves on that one.
